Executive gifts that stay on the desk

Most executive gifts are consumed or re-gifted within a year. The ones that stay are personal, beautifully made and impossible to buy anywhere else. Here are the ideas our corporate clients return to.
1. The company’s own icon
Nothing is more personal to a company than its own symbol, and nothing is rarer than that symbol made as sculpture. McDonald’s arches, burger and fries; Coca-Cola’s bottle; Kellogg’s K — each made in silver and gold as a gift that could only come from that company.

2. The product, perfected
If the business makes something people can hold — a bottle, a jar, a tyre, a sweet — making it in metal turns the product into a trophy of the company’s own success. Café Oro’s jar in copper and Lucas in silver are two examples.

3. A symbol of the moment
A merger, a listing, a record year or a founder’s retirement each has an image that captures it: a bull for a market win, a landmark for a new headquarters, an animal that carries the company’s values. The Wall Street Creations catalogue put a D’Argenta bull on its cover.
4. Mexico, for international guests
For partners and guests from abroad, a pre-Hispanic or Mexican subject in silver says where the gift comes from — the same reasoning that made D’Argenta a choice for gifts to a pope and to Japan’s Crown Prince.
Making it personal
Every piece can carry an engraved dedication, a date or the recipient’s name, and can be delivered in a presentation case. There is no minimum order: one gift for the chairman is as welcome as two hundred for every client.
