Logo sculptures

Your logo, as a sculpture

McDonald’s golden arches in 24-karat gold above a silver McDonald’s sign

The arches, the bottle, the toucan, the kiss. Companies spend decades making their symbols known. D’Argenta has made these four in silver and gold, for McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s and Hershey’s.

From a mark on paper to an object in the hand

A logo is designed to be read from one side, at the size of a stamp. A sculpture is seen from every side, in daylight and under a spotlight, and it must be recognised at once from all of them.

Goodyear’s winged foot appears flat on every tyre and every sign. Made in copper, it gained what a printed logo never has: depth, weight and a shadow.

The decisions that make it right

How far the mark should stand out. Which part is finished in gold and which in silver: where a logo has two colours, two metals tell them apart, as in McDonald’s arches in gold above a silver sign. What the piece rests on, and how large it must be to keep its detail.

Where it belongs

  • On the reception desk, where visitors meet the company.
  • In the boardroom and the chief executive’s office.
  • As a gift to partners, distributors and franchisees.
  • As the award itself: McDonald’s arches have served as a sales award.
  • At architectural scale, in a lobby or a new headquarters.

How it is made

  1. 01

    Your files

The logo in vector form and the brand guidelines, so proportions and details are exact.

  2. 02

    Design

A render shows the mark in three dimensions, with its finishes and its base, for your brand team to approve.

  3. 03

    Prototype

One piece to judge in the hand before anything else is made.

  4. 04

    Production

Finished by hand in Mexico City, engraved if required, and delivered in a presentation case.

Questions

What sizes can you make?

From a piece for the desk to figures of about one and a half metres. Larger works are made to order.

Can you match our brand colours?

The logo is expressed in silver, 24-karat gold, copper and black copper; combining them carries the brand’s colours into the piece.

Is there a minimum order?

No. One piece is a complete order.

How long does it take?

About a week for a very simple piece, about a month for a complex one.

Can we order another company’s logo?

We make a brand’s logo for the brand itself, or with its written approval.
