A first award has no tradition to lean on
An award show that is decades old inherits its statuette. A new one has to invent it, and the object becomes the show’s identity the moment the first winner holds it up for a photograph. It has to read as the brand from across a stage, and as something worth keeping on a shelf at home.
The answer here was restraint: a single folded form, faceted so it catches the stage lights, finished in silver and carrying the Spotify mark at its crown. No plaque, no figure, no ornament competing with the logo.
Why silver
Silver photographs well under stage lighting without the warmth of gold pulling every picture toward yellow, and it keeps the brand’s mark as the one point of colour a camera finds. It also ages honestly: a protective lacquer means it needs nothing but the occasional dusting.
What it means for your event
If you are launching an award, the statuette is the one part of the event that outlives the night. We design it with you, make a prototype for you to hold before anything is committed, and produce the full run — one per category, plus the spares an event always needs.
