Case study · Dallas Cowboys
A Dallas Cowboys helmet in silver

D’Argenta made a silver Dallas Cowboys helmet for the team. In the fall of 1994 it shared the cover of the Dallas Cowboys’ Official Catalog with the club’s Vince Lombardi trophies.

An object every fan already knows
A team’s helmet is its most recognisable object after the logo itself. Finishing one in silver keeps every line a fan knows — the shell, the facemask, the star — and turns equipment into something you would put behind glass.
The team’s Official Catalog put it on its Fall 1994 cover beside the Vince Lombardi trophies the club had won. Two years later, quarterback Troy Aikman signed one.

Beside the owner
Jerry Jones, the club’s owner, was photographed with it. For a team, a piece like this works three ways: as a gift for players, sponsors and partners; as a trophy for an internal award; and, as the catalog showed, as a collector’s edition for fans.
